Who we are

logo cdenlvlagCasa de Esperanza (CDE) means ‘House of Hope’, it is the name of our Children Home in Caranavi, Bolivia. In 1992 this children home has been build by the Dutch missionaries Piet and Marijke Punt.

For fund-raising and management of the orphanage the Dutch foundation Zendingsfonds Punt Bolivia was established.
Casa de Esperanza is a shelter for children without parents. The more than sixty children who live there are orphaned and / or abandoned children.
This work has grown and expanded; besides the Children Home there is also a Nursery for dayly care and separate houses for the bigger kids (teenage houses).

In 1997, a second job has been started: the Training School (Centro de Entrenamiento Cristiano). This school provides with the education and training of young Christians from different churches.
